Jos, Nigeria — The School Sisters of Notre Dame in Jos, Plateau State in Nigeria began as educators in the major seminary and were also fully involved in the life of their local parish for several years. Due to lack of personnel, the community was closed for few years.

Two School Sisters of Notre Dame returned to Jos in early January 2019. One of them taught Mathematics at St. Murumba College. Currently, she is a student at the University of Jos studying psychology. Also, sister gives voluntary service of visiting the patients at the Rehabilitation Centre in a nearby village.

The other sister teaches Biology at St. Louis College Girls School. She is present to both the staff and students. She is the animator of the Peace Club in her school.

From time to time there are clashes between Christians and Moslems in Jos, so sisters together with other groups promote interreligious dialogue and peace building activities.
