How We Serve
Deep faith and great courage urged the founder of our Congregation – Mary Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger, to risk and respond to God's call wherever she was invited. She knew that love, trust, and deep spirit of prayer were key and foundational to all the apostolic work sisters engaged in. She often encouraged them saying, “Trust him, look to him. He will bring about good results if we seek only his honor if we follow him.” (Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger Letter 862)
We, School Sisters of Notre Dame, Province of Africa, respond to God’s call recognized in our time as an urgent need in her spirit as she gently invites us to “... go out into the smallest villages and poorest huts…wherever the Lord calls us to bring the good news of the kingdom of God.” (Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger Letter 144) We are educators in all that we are and do. We live in communities and are engaged in diverse ministries. We serve as teachers, counselors, accountants, administrators, nurses and midwives. We are also involved in pastoral care and social service. Click below to discover the beauty and diversity of our ministries.
Like Mother Theresa, we educate with the conviction that the world can be changed through the transformation of persons.
We are educators in all that we are and do.
